LitTransformer is a unique 10-day translation workshop.

For 10 days, participants of the workshop, translators from all over the world, had an opportunity to translate texts from different languages ​​using a unique method under the direction of Aron Aji.

 

Aron Aji is an invited honoured guest from Iowa City, UNESCO City of Literature President of the American Literary Translators Association (ALTA), the author and developer of a unique translation method, the essence of which lies in the "mediating" role of English in the translation process. The English language mediated the communication among native speakers of different languages, including Danish, Icelandic, and others. 

The obligatory point of the workshop was the translation of two contemporary works of the Ukrainian literature - Our Others by Olesya Yaremchuk and Timetraveller's Guide to Donbass by Anastasia Kosodii.
