Young City Readings. Comics
Its time to announce the second stage of Young City Readings!
This time we want to engage young comics authors, proposing them to take part in Lviv - UNESCO City of Literature office's online project.
As a result of this project there will be a publication of different formats and themes made, including 20 pages of comics. Participants will have an opportunity to work on their texts together with jury (Bogdan Kordoba, Yaroslav Svit and Olena Lisevych).
You're full free with your style, but remember, the work itself should be about a city, with a clear story line :)
Specifications and requirements:
- Plot comic with a complete story. The comic does not have to contain text, but if it does, the language of the text is Ukrainian.
- The volume of the work should contain up to 4 sheets of A4 format, which, in particular, should contain the author's bio (in the form of a QR-code or just a description, or any other form).
- Comics can be both color and black and white 🙂
- We accept only original works created specifically for the competition, or not published anywhere before. Format - .pdf Resolution - 300 dpi.
- Let's not forget, the subject is the city. Not some specific, but abstract city and everything about it.
Applications can be sent in frames of 10 червня – 1 серпня 2020
We will check the works, in particular, for hostility and violence, and if there's none of this in the comics, we are waiting for the works at young.city.readings@gmail.com with the specified topic "Comics"!
